Cattery Tenfold
Cattery Tenfold is located in a town called Winterswijk, which is situated in the east part of the Netherlands, close to the German border.
After years of having non-pedigree cats, the first pedigree cat came to my home in the summer of 1994. It was a persian kitten (Rik van Krossbu) of 13 weeks old. Rik sadly passed away at age 14 (in 2008).
Soon he was followed by more and the idea came to start a cattery. The name Tenfold comes from a lack of inspiration for a cattery name, after the first list was refused. Tenfold is a very free translating from Dutch to English of the number of cats in my home at that time (10). Breeding persians soon changed into breeding Maine Coons and sometimes Burmese, because the character and appareance of those breeds are more appealing to me.

To keep a long story short, over the years the cattery has grown and deleloped to what it is now, 3 Burmese and a group of Maine Coons make the family complete. Almost half of my cats are neuters and are the extra moms and dads of the kittens. They all help educating the kittens and so we have sleep-, play- and clean-moms and dads.

Besides the love for the animals, health and character are very important. By looking at pedigrees, but not only what is on the pedigree but also what is behind it, I try with a few other breeders, to breed beautiful, gentle and healthy cats with a good, wide based pedigree.
Because I adore red, cream, tortie and a lot of white, those colours are the colours mostly used in my breeding program.
